I heard a funny term from Chris Dibbs that just kinda stuck this week.  It’s called “Duck Punching”.  The story is related to writing code and goes like this…

If it looks like a duck but it doesn’t quite quack like a duck, keep punching it until it quacks like a duck… ala Duck Punching, referring to hacking at code until it does what you want it to do.
